ABOUT US
Our Mission
Our mission is to educate everyone on our Brain-Body Systems, what these are, how these work and how we can interfere with them causing our own physical and mental illnesses. For example; every time we trigger a stress response we trigger stress hormones. These hormones are great in the short-term but in the long-term, they cause inflammation, resulting in physical illness and overwhelm our brain resulting in stress-related illnesses; anxiety, depression and burnout.
We provide you with the educational tools that support your physical and mental health.
Meet The Team
We are qualified professionals in our specific fields

Joan Maycock MSc Health Psychologist
Joan is our educator, author, counsellor, researcher, trainer and programme developer. She specialises in the stress response system, depression, burnout and anxiety. She will take you through the biological, physiological, psychological – A to Z of stress, depression and burnout, including evidence-based new scientific research on depression and SSRIs. She puts what she knows into easy-to-understand language, so you can understand how your own biology, physiology, psychology, and behaviour, activated every time you trigger a stress response, are the route of all your physical and mental illnesses. Joan makes everything easy and allows lots of time for Q&A.

Caitriona Nic Ghiollaphádraig
When we want to know about how body movements can de-stress and nourish the mind we ask our in-house expert Caitriona Nic Ghiollaphádraig, who was the first accredited 5 Rhythms teacher in Ireland in 1997/98. Caitriona will take you through the art of de-stressing with her diverse package of movements, meditation, dance, and show you how moving your body nourishes your brain. “ I have created a practice which I call ‘Embodied Brain’ which captures those links between neuroscience, mindful movement and meditation and uses them to move practitioners towards positivity, compassion and resilience.”
